Outstanding

This is absolutely the way the Svartpilen should have come from the factory. Big difference in feel and sound. Higher RPM (7k+) have a noticeable feel of fuel lean and power jump. Would recommend (after break-in).

Great kit to complete my full custom exhaust

This kit is a perfect match for my Competition Werkes lightweight pre chamber and slip on. With the cat delete pipe it's one beautiful stainless exhaust system from the head to the tail. The exhaust note is beautiful and can really be heard. I installed the pre chamber and slip on previous to the first service. Once the first service was completed, on went the delete pipe and ECU. Install was easy, taking about 1.5 hours (pre chamber and slip on previously installed). The difference in acceleration is notable, bringing a smile. The throttle response is that of having put on a quick turn throttle on the traditional cable style throttle. There's a audible change with the open cover and DNA high flow air filter. The ECU is completely automatic, picking up on the cat delete by just idling for a short time. Freeway runs at 85mph are easily attainable with no issues, and it sounds AWESOME! I couldn't be happier with the results of this system and would buy it all over again. Get one for your Vitpilen or Svartpilen 401.

Must Have

There's an entirely different riding experience sitting in your garage waiting for you to install this kit. The clunky gear shifting, gone, the early sign off of power and rpm, gone, the 10 year old drip coffee maker sound, way gone! 4th and 5th gear are no longer just reference points on the way to 6th but now each have their own character and can be exploited to the fullest. And did I mention the sound? it's a hungry dog eating growl. Installation is straightforward with Aaron at the ready to help on line. I needed some trained fingers to get 2 of the connectors apart but I'm a 64 yr old guy with Parkinson's, if I can do it, you can to. Unleash that motor, there's a really fun bike hiding there in plain sight. It's expensive, yes, but worth every penny. You are essentially getting a new bike and it will then run like it looks it should.

Install sucks but well worth it.

Installation
----------------------
The ECU was a pain to connect, but that's because a couple ports were placed where large hands cannot easily access. Aside from the painful act of detaching and connecting wires, it was all easy.
Running the cable through the bike was easy peasy. Installing the De-Cat header was a lot easier than I expected. The airbox cover was also extremely easy to install.

Performance
----------------------
Initially I thought it sounds awesome, but I don't think I'm feeling a difference. Well, that's because I was riding conservatively. My fears of blowing up finally subsided and I opened that baby up. I can now say that ALL gears have noticeable improvement. I have way more torque and a full range of power through each and every gear. Where do I notice most improvements? Easily when I'm passing around traffic. I have the power to pass now.

Verdict
----------------------
I'm a heavy guy, at 260 pounds. I make this little bike suffer. With the Coober power kit, this bike feels like it was made to haul my fat ass. Would I spend nearly 9 hundos AND suffer installing that Performance ECU again?
YES. Easily, yes.
